Church Membership

As empires move between East to West & visa versa, we see how church has both influenced & been influenced by culture. Describing our relationship with the church as partners as 'other' communities have done, leaves an earthy taste in ones mouth. 

Like somethings wrong with moms cheesecake, but we don't know what it is, or whether we should say anything. 

Church membership, to me, means you belong, & you want to be there. You see yourself being part of, without wondering about any identity status, simply put, you want to be in. 

For too long, churches have also ticked the cult box. Where leaving a church feels like you either drowned a puppy or lost your salvation. This too, is demonic. 

In our church, we're Kingdom focused, therefore, most importantly, when you leave our church for another, whether it's to start your own, or moved locations or simply, it's your season's done here, with us, for now, your move is celebrated, because Christ is The Head of His church. 

If you leave due to personalities differences, then yes, it's hard, but it's also okay. You are blessed in your being. 

If you leave, due to offence, don't let the devil steal from you. Build a bridge & remember the woman whom Jesus referred to as a dog, (Matthew 15:21-28). 

When you leave because it's your time, may your leadership have the savvy, the grace, the wisdom & insight to see it, & release you in peace with a blessing. 

What matters? 

Jesus & His Kingdom. Men come & they go, but His Word, His Kingdom, & His Name, remain.
