LET US WALK THIS ROAD TOGETHER

Behind every great man is a great women...

...& if that great women is also a praying woman, imagine what we will be able to accomplish in our marriages, families and communities.

As Eve came out of Adam, so Community Women also came out of Saturday Guys, The Community’s men’s discipleship group.

With the men getting together every Saturday to discuss & grow in the Word & their relationship with God & relationship with each other, we as the friends, girlfriends, finances & wives of those men wanted to get in on that blessing too!

So one Saturday morning, April 2015 Community Women was birthed. 

Birthed in tears to be honest. 

That first session there was a tangible gasp of relief as women sat in our small living room clutching cups of coffee, nervous to share things that lay so heavy on their hearts, scared of trusting each other & anxious about the aftermath. Gasping in relief as those burdens on their hearts could be released, & caught by fellow believers & women that they could trust & trust to be there to hear, understand, relate & pray with. 

The scripture that The LORD shared that morning was Matthew 11:28-30 NKJV "Come to Me, all you who labor & are heavy laden, & I will give you rest. Take My yoke upon you & learn from Me, for I am gentle & lowly in heart, & you will find rest for your souls. For My yoke is easy & My burden is light.”

Jesus is our ultimate Comfort, our Healer, Deliverer, our Friend & our very present Help in our time of need. And during our Community Women sessions we focus on this. That ultimately Jesus when we walk with Him & seek Him, we will be found by Him, & He will lift us up & help us to overcome all obstacles. 

That when we overcome, that we will be able to help others to overcome.

We as the Community Women believe that we should walk this road together. The good the bad & the ugly. 

We do life together. 

We as women form the pillars in our families & communities. Pillars, that bear loads, maintain structure & are set permanently to create a foundation, a place where others can grow around us. 

We make space. 

Each one of us has a road to walk, our own unique road, that has been placed inside each of us by a loving and passionate Creator. 

We as women need to learn how to stay in our lanes, to be completely content in our unique purpose. There is power in this. We lead by example.  

As matriarchs, we are suppose to walk together, learn together, grow together & do life together.
